💪 One of Luanda’s Best Gyms
If you’re into fitness and looking for a top-quality gym in Luanda, AMG Fitness Club is one of the most impressive places around. Located in Jardim das Rosas, this gym opened recently and has everything you need to stay on track with your health goals.
The gym is spacious and fully equipped with brand-new, high-performance machines. It features a large weight room, studios for group classes, a dedicated crossfit zone downstairs, and even a room with tatami mats — perfect for martial arts.
There’s also a cute on-site café offering healthy snacks and drinks, as well as a shop selling supplements, sportswear and fitness gear. Everything is in one place — simple and convenient.
⚠️ The Downsides
As amazing as this gym is, there are two things to keep in mind. First: the locker rooms are very small — which, oddly enough, seems to be a common thing in Luanda’s gyms.
Second: once again, there’s no swimming pool. In a hot country like Angola, it’s always surprising that most gyms don’t include this.
Despite that, this is definitely one of the best gyms in Luanda. The monthly fee is around €44, without a personal trainer included.
And the location? Fantastic. Jardim das Rosas is a quiet, beautiful neighbourhood with lots of greenery and a growing number of shops, cafés and services nearby.

Jardim das Rosas is one of those hidden gems along the Via Expresso. It’s filled with gated communities, schools, and local businesses — creating a self-sufficient lifestyle.
One great example is Camilo Castelo Branco School, a high-quality (and admittedly expensive) private school that many families value for its reputation.
Other nearby neighbourhoods like Boa Vida follow a similar model — compact, safe, and perfect for families who want everything close at hand.
